BetaPool coordinates reciprocal Google Play closed testing for independent Android developers. It does not sell installs, guarantee Play approval, or facilitate public review or rating exchanges.

What is BetaPool?

A credit-based platform where developers test each other's pre-release Android apps, complete timed checkpoints, and submit private structured feedback. You earn credits by testing, then spend credits to run your own closed-testing campaign.

How do credits work?

Credits are earned only by completing genuine closed-test work (checkpoints and private feedback). Install or opt-in alone does not earn credits. New accounts also receive a one-time starter grant after a device is registered, enough for a standard first campaign. There are no paid plans or subscriptions. Activating a campaign spends credits based on how many testers you request. Unused campaign capacity may be refunded if a campaign is cancelled under platform rules.

How do testers and campaigns find each other?

There is no user directory or messaging search. When you activate a campaign, matching invites testers whose profile fits your optional filters (languages, Android versions, device types) plus reputation, capacity, and diversity. Leave language empty when creating a campaign to accept any tester language. Testers see invitations under Available tests and can accept or decline.

What link do I need to register an app?

Your Google Play closed-test opt-in link: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.your.app. That is all BetaPool needs for most closed tests that use Play's open opt-in link. Copy it from Play Console under Testing → Closed testing. Store listing links (store/apps/details?id=...) are not accepted. If Play requires additional setup beyond the opt-in link, include it in your testing instructions.

What should I set up on my profile?

Complete your languages and add the Android devices you can use for testing. Matching is global. Campaigns can set optional language, Android, and device type filters.

What happens after I accept a test?

Confirm Play closed-test opt-in, install, and first use, then complete timed checkpoints and submit final private feedback. Credits stay pending until the assignment is completed under quality rules. Do not leave public Play Store ratings or reviews for reciprocal testing on this platform.

Is feedback public?

No. Structured feedback is private to the campaign owner and platform moderators. The goal is useful closed-test signal for the developer, not public social proof.

Does BetaPool guarantee Google Play approval?

No. Closed testing can help you gather real usage and feedback before release, but Google Play review decisions are entirely Google's. BetaPool is not affiliated with Google.

What is not allowed?

Rating or review exchanges, fake installs, fabricated activity, malware, and any claim that BetaPool guarantees Play approval or is part of Google. See the testing policy and community guidelines for details.

What if a tester drops out?

Dropouts hurt reputation and free capacity for replacement matching. Campaigns that fall behind minimum tester targets are flagged as at risk so the system can refill invitations.

How do I get help?

Use Contact for support questions. Report policy problems from inside the app when you are signed in.
