Terms of service

The service

You may create an account, maintain a tester profile, accept matched test invitations, and activate closed-testing campaigns for apps you own or are authorized to test. Testers complete opt-in, install, first use, timed checkpoints, and private feedback to earn credits. Developers spend credits to run campaigns. There are no paid plans or subscriptions on the platform. Matching invites suitable testers; there is no public user directory or messaging search.

Accounts

You must provide accurate profile and device information used for matching. Keep your sign-in credentials secure and do not share accounts. One person should not operate multiple accounts to farm credits, evade enforcement, or manipulate matching. We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms, the testing policy, or community guidelines.

Campaign owners

• Only register apps you own or are authorized to put into closed testing.
• Provide valid closed-test opt-in links and clear testing instructions.
• Do not require public Play Store ratings, reviews, or social posts as a condition of testing.
• Remain solely responsible for Google Play Developer Program Policy compliance and how you run closed tests in Play Console.
• Do not claim that BetaPool guarantees Play approval or is part of Google.

Testers

• Accept only invitations you can complete on real devices within the deadlines.
• Complete checkpoints and submit honest private feedback based on real use.
• Do not leave public Play Store ratings or reviews as part of reciprocal testing on this platform.
• Do not fabricate installs, opt-ins, checkpoints, evidence, or completion.

Credits and reputation

Credits are earned for completed genuine testing work and spent to activate campaigns. Pending credits may be withheld for short, fake, or policy-breaking feedback. Reputation reflects reliability and quality; abuse, dropouts, and low-effort work may reduce it and affect matching. Credits have no cash value outside the platform and are not transferable except as the product allows through normal campaign and assignment flows.

Prohibited use

You must not use BetaPool for:

• Rating exchanges, review exchanges, or fake installs
• Bots, emulator farms, or automation that fabricates testing activity
• Malware, phishing, or apps intended to harm users or steal data
• Credit farming, collusion rings, harassment, spam, or impersonation
• Any claim that the platform is affiliated with Google or guarantees Play outcomes

Content and feedback

You retain rights to content you submit (app materials, instructions, feedback, evidence). You grant BetaPool a license to host, process, and show that content as needed to run assignments, moderation, and support. Feedback and evidence are private to campaign owners and moderators unless the product states otherwise. Do not upload content you are not allowed to share.

Enforcement and availability

We may cancel assignments, withhold or reverse credits, refuse campaigns, and suspend or ban accounts that violate these terms or related policies. The service may change, have downtime, or be discontinued. We do not warrant uninterrupted availability or specific matching outcomes.

Disclaimer

The service is provided as is for coordinating authentic pre-release testing among independent developers. BetaPool is not responsible for apps you install, third-party Google Play decisions, or losses arising from testing activity you choose to accept. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the value of credits in your account for platform-related claims.
